Compare AI smile visualizers
on the workflow that matters.

This is a criteria-first buying guide, not a paid ranking. Confirm every vendor answer in a live demo, written proposal, security review, and current vendor source.

CriterionWhy it mattersAsk every vendorConsult Engine answer
Patient experienceThe preview must work on the visitor's device with clear simulation language and a useful next step. Can a patient test the real mobile flow before purchase?Live browser demo with live and photo modes; no app download. Photo mode depends on AI-provider availability.
Treatment fitA treatment menu should match the procedures the practice actually offers and wants to grow.Which dental previews are live, configurable, and appropriate for this practice?Veneers, All-on-X, three whitening choices, full smile makeover, FASTBRACESĀ®, and cosmetic bonding are listed on the product page.
Website installationImplementation friction increases launch time, maintenance cost, and the risk of a broken mobile experience.Show the exact WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, or custom-site install step.A site-wide script supports common builders and custom sites. The practice or its site manager must publish and test it.
Image and data handlingLive camera, uploaded images, contact details, analytics, and downstream systems can have different data paths.Map collection, processing, retention, deletion, access, subprocessors, and agreements.Live camera landmarks stay on-device. Photo mode sends the image to the configured generation service. Patient-data access remains gated by tenant, billing, and BAA controls.
Lead workflowA preview creates business value only when the practice can respond to a consented lead while intent is high.Where does a lead arrive, who owns it, and what happens when a handoff fails?Consented leads enter the tenant dashboard. CRM and messaging delivery require configuration, and failed syncs remain visible.
Scheduling and integrationsA named integration may support only certain providers, appointment types, locations, or actions.Which exact reads and writes are supported in our configuration, and what is the fallback?Supported pilot scheduling can revalidate slots before a write. Other configurations use a transfer, booking link, or message fallback.
MeasurementPage views and generated images do not prove booked or accepted treatment. Can the system link starts, previews, leads, bookings, completed visits, and accepted treatment?A PHI-light event funnel links stages when trusted scheduling and revenue sources are configured. Missing linkage is reported rather than inferred.
Total costSubscription, usage, implementation, integrations, support, and staff time determine the real price.Provide written all-in cost at our expected locations and usage, including every required third party.Current self-serve subscription pricing is public. Integration and usage requirements must be confirmed for the intended workflow.

How to score the shortlist

Weight each criterion before the sales calls. Record the source and date for every answer. Mark unknowns as unknown, not as partial support. Eliminate a vendor when a required privacy, treatment, or integration condition is not met, even if the preview looks impressive.

Vendor-owned sources to verify

Inclusion is not an endorsement, a complete market list, or a statement that the products are equivalent. These links are provided so a buyer can check current vendor claims directly.
